3D Slicer Medical Image Data Visualization Hands-On Workshop

Syllabus

The purpose of this tutorial is to provide the members of the research community with a practical experience of the capabilities of the Open Source 3D Slicer software platform. The curriculum is hands-on which means that participants will have access to computers. The course is divided into two sections:

  • an introduction on the concepts of Slicer and 3D visualization.
  • a demonstration on how to use Slicer to generate quantitative image biomarkers from FDG-PET/CT (pre/post-therapy whole-body imaging with SUV quantification)

Target Audience

Radiology Residents and Fellows and Translational Clinical Scientists who are interested in medical image computing
